SESSION
B: Sunday 7 December (p.m.) – Tuesday 9 December 2003, APEC Biosafety
The
workshop is scheduled for two and a half days.
Day
One will consist of an overview of Canadian and international regulatory and
safety assessment requirements followed by a joint environment and feed session
on genetic characterization of the case study (Bt corn
MON 810).
After
concluding this joint part of the Workshop, sessions discussing the
environmental safety assessment of Bt corn will run concurrently with sessions
on the feed safety assessment.
The
closing sessions on Day Three will conclude the previous day’s
proceedings, followed by joint plenary session on future challenges for
the safety assessment of biotechnology derived products.
